1. I want to advertise my facebook application to other facebook users. Can I do this?
A. Yes. We enable both facebook application owners and advertisers of off-facebook properties to use the Ad Chap network. If you are advertising a facebook application we place an "Add Application" button on your ad to maximize installs. When creating your ad, just say yes to "is this a facebook application?", enter your app ID and the Add Application button will be automatically added.
2. I want to advertise for something not related to social networking.
A. No problem, just create your ad and purchase clicks and your ad will soon be getting impressions and clicks across the Ad Chap social networks.
3. I want to advertise for adult content and / or adult websites, is this OK?
A. Ads with, referring to or linking to adult content is currently not permitted. If you enter an adult ad to the Ad Chap system, it will be deleted. In addition, ads that break the facebook (or other social networking sites) terms of service are not permitted. Please refer to the ad content guidelines here.
4. I want to advertise on social networking sites, where will my ads be placed?
A. For the time being, your ads will appear on facebook, hi5, myspace and bebo only. We will be expanding to several other social networking websites as well. As we bring other social networking sites online, your targeted ads will appear on those sites too. You can keep updated by reading our blog., all news will be posted there.
5. Where on the social networks will my ads appear?
A. Currently, there are almost 40,000 applications that have been built by third party developers on the facebook, bebo and myspace platforms. Your ads will appear on these 3rd party applications and widget pages. (note: your ad will only appear on those applications that use the Ad Chap network)
6. Which applications will my ad appear on?
A. Your ad will appear on the applications and widgets that have signed up and use the Ad Chap ad network.
7. How frequently will my ad appear?
A. Currently, ads are rotated on a performance basis, if no one is interested or clicking an ad, it will get less views. Ad delivery rate will also depend on the number of ads in the system and the number of participating publishers. Finally, the ad delivery rate will depend on the available traffic for the geographic targeting that you have selected. If there is little traffic for a country then that ad will get less views until there is more traffic for that country.
8. I want to pay only when someone actually installs my facebook application, is this possible?
A. Yes, we have CPI ad formats (cost per install) available for medium to large budgets or longer term campaigns. Both targeted and non-targeted CPI ads are available. Please contact us for pricing and details. CPI ads are available upon request only.
9. I would like to advertise with CPA ads, how do I place them?
A. CPA (cost per action) formats and ads are only available upon application and for longer term advertisers. Please contact us at support (at) adchap.com and let us know more about your campaign, necessary targeting, budget, campaign length and what the conversion / action is.
10. I would like to pay with my credit card.
A. You can do this, just select the amount you want to purchase then click on the paypal 'buy now' button. On the paypal page there is an option to pay by credit card.
11. I don't want to go through paypal at all. Is there another method?
A. Currently, paypal is our only merchant bank provider. You can also make a telegraphic / wire transfer if it is a larger order.
12. I want to spread out my clicks over a number of days, can I do this?
A. Yes, go to Buy Ads > Manage Ads page. On this page, you will see a list of your ads. Click edit for the ad you want to limit. You will see a box described as CPD (clicks per day). If you want 50 clicks per day, enter 50. If you want 500 clicks per day, enter 500, and so on. If you enter 0 then the clicks will be delivered as quickly as the network can deliver them.
13. How do I deactivate my ad for a while and start it up later?
A. Go to Buy Ads > Manage Ads page. On this page, you will see a list of your ads. Click edit for the ad you want to activate or de-activate. Select the setting you want and then click save.
14. I would like to manage my ads and get detailed analytics, can you provide this?
A. Yes, detailed analytics, downloadable data and management of all your ads is available at http://stats.adchap.com
15. Do you offer image banners, flash banner, pop-up, pop-under or interstitial ads?
We currently do not offer these formats. We offer many different ad sizes, banners and blocks but all are based on text ads. Some ad formats do allow a thumbnail image. You can see an example of the ad sizes here. http://www.adchap.com/formats.html Individual publishers will determine the color and look and feel of the ads to match their application or widget.
16. I have a suggestion to make the Ad Chap service better.
